Hi Peeps,

I’ve been burning the midnight oil literally every night trying to keep up with works and I recognised my own limitation when it slapped me really hard in the face. The thing with running a blog is – you have to spend at least 4-5 hours a week to update your blog and I have a very poor time management skill. I’m practising a new time management skill though. So until I master this time management skill.. Join us at Facebook for those of you who are still interested to check out or follow our work. I promise to keep our Facebook page updated :)

New Zealand

Friday, May 25th, 2012

So my mom has been nagging us to go to New Zealand for a while.. and we’ve been putting it off for a while because we thought… “Nah.. we live in Sydney, why should we go to New Zealand, wouldn’t it be exactly the same anyway?” But mom being mom.. she was so persistent.. so we finally gave up and said.. alright, let’s go to New Zealand.. So we went there with no expectation at all..

Boy.. how wrong we were… We were literally rendered speechless on our first day.. Let me tell you this – New Zealand was so AMAZING. There is no words to explain how beautiful New Zealand is. Blue skies, see through clear water, birds singing, it’s like going into a different world altogether. All I can think of was – God must have spend a little more time in New Zealand than any other place in the world. Oh… Mom also been saying … don’t forget to check out the “Lord of the Rings” area… and we were like “Nah.. we’re pretty sure they were all computer graphics”

And once again – mom was so right… the place was there.. and it was gorgeous.. So here I am now.. sharing some of the photos that we took during our short trip.. Some of the photo were taken by me (wifey – the one who do not know how to use camera) because hubby was driving most of the time. So peeps – head over to New Zealand and see it for yourself, because these photos will not do New Zealand justice.

Anyway here we go..

Day 1: Christchurch

Took the normal Sydney – Christchurch flight with the wacky schedule; arrived at 1AM – yup that’s right – that’s 1 o’clock in the morning. I can’t barely keep my eyes open.. but the beauty of Christchurch took my breath away..

All Things Bright + Beautiful

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

Last week I had the pleasure of working together with two extremely talented ladies. Leony Schiller from Ma Cake and Adrianna Simione from Blooms & Scents. Oh my.. What can I say about them.. Let me start with Leony from Ma Cake. I have to say.. her cake is to die for.. Not only that it looks amazing – the cake actually tastes fantastic.. Put it this way, I am a very fussy eater.. If I eat too much sugar, I’ll gain weight straight away.. BUT.. her cake is definitely worth being fat for! And, Adrianna Simione – this talented young lady is just blessed with a lot of artistic imagination.. her flowers are just so pretty and whimsical and her sense of colour is just fantastic..

We would also like to say thank you to our wonderful model, Sarah – for putting up with cold weather.. and to LeAnne Madsen for her kindness and companionship during the day..

Check out the photos below.. these are all Leony + Adrianna’s baby project..

PS. We still have so many other photos – stay tune – and we’ll upload some more sometimes next week..

Burnt Toast

Sunday, March 20th, 2011

Accidentally found this note last week – Definitely worth a read.

When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made dinner after a long, hard day at work.

On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned toast in front of my dad.

I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school.

I don’t remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the toast. And I’ll never forget what he said: ‘Baby, I love burned toast.’

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if He really liked his toast burned.

He wrapped me in his arms and said, ‘Debbie, your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she’s real tired. And besides-a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!’

You know, life is full of imperfect things…..and imperfect people. I’m not the best housekeeper or cook.

What I’ve learned over the years is that learning to accept each other’s faults – and choosing to celebrate each other’s differences – is the one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

And that’s my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of GOD.

Because in the end, He’s the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where burnt toast isn’t a deal-breaker!

We could extend this to any relationship in fact – as understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!!

“Don’t put the key to your happiness in someone else’s pocket but into your own.”
