So my mom has been nagging us to go to New Zealand for a while.. and we’ve been putting it off for a while because we thought… “Nah.. we live in Sydney, why should we go to New Zealand, wouldn’t it be exactly the same anyway?” But mom being mom.. she was so persistent.. so we finally gave up and said.. alright, let’s go to New Zealand.. So we went there with no expectation at all..
Boy.. how wrong we were… We were literally rendered speechless on our first day.. Let me tell you this – New Zealand was so AMAZING. There is no words to explain how beautiful New Zealand is. Blue skies, see through clear water, birds singing, it’s like going into a different world altogether. All I can think of was – God must have spend a little more time in New Zealand than any other place in the world. Oh… Mom also been saying … don’t forget to check out the “Lord of the Rings” area… and we were like “Nah.. we’re pretty sure they were all computer graphics”
And once again – mom was so right… the place was there.. and it was gorgeous.. So here I am now.. sharing some of the photos that we took during our short trip.. Some of the photo were taken by me (wifey – the one who do not know how to use camera) because hubby was driving most of the time. So peeps – head over to New Zealand and see it for yourself, because these photos will not do New Zealand justice.
Anyway here we go..
Day 1: Christchurch
Took the normal Sydney – Christchurch flight with the wacky schedule; arrived at 1AM – yup that’s right – that’s 1 o’clock in the morning. I can’t barely keep my eyes open.. but the beauty of Christchurch took my breath away..
Day 3: Picton

Day 4: Picton to Greymouth
Day 5: Greymouth to Franz Josef Glacier
Day 9: Queenstown

Definitely our favourite burger in the world: F E R G B U R G E R. We had their burger 3x a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 12: Milford Sound

Day 14: Lake Tekapo

Day 15: Christchurch
Botanical Garden

Re: Start.
New shopping complex made of shipping containers; this brilliant area was built after the devastating 2011 Christmas Earthquake.
